Background

Most companies manage their operations today with help of monitoring results or ratios. This is done to control the performed activities in relation to the goals that are expected or required from the clients. Accuracy of inspection results is almost never been questioned. Calibration of the system used for the control is not longer enough. It is equally important to ensure that the correct control system is used.

The Gauge R & R method helps us to answer to this question. The calculating in this methodology sets the system estimated measurement error in relation to spread of the measurements. The results clearly shows how appropriate the chosen system is and how the control system can be improved if necessary.
